A Heart Full of Grace

“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity” to serve. You don’t have to know the Second Theory of Thermal Dynamics in Physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love, and you can be that servant.”

I walk down the street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. I am lost…I am helpless. It isn’t my fault. It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter II

I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I pretend I don’t see it. I fall in – again. I can’t believe I am in this same place. But it isn’t my fault. It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter III

I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I see it is there. I fall in…it’s a habit…but, my eyes are open. I know where I am. It is my fault. I get out immediately.

Chapter IV

I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it.

You are thinking, “Well everyone knows, ‘prevention is better than cure.’” but trust me in this particular case, taking a few minutes in your day to keep your mind, body and soul balanced will pay dividends tenfold as you go though life.

Learning to deal with stress is giving yourself the tools to survive living on this planet.

Take it from someone who knows.

Focus on Gratitude

When your thoughts go astray, remember to focus on the things you are grateful to have in your life. Even on the worst of days good things are happening to you if you take a step back from the worry, confusion and anger, you will find things that make you grateful.  Gratitude is all you need to turn weeks of negative thinking into joy and expectation of great joy.

Today, a coworker casually mentions that Peet’s coffee is served in the cafeteria next door. I don’t know which made me happier, that I managed to manifest Peet’s Coffee service on the campus or that I could get a cup of coffee from Peet’s right now.

Science of Getting Rich

There is a science of getting rich, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws that govern the process of acquiring riches. Once these laws are learned and obeyed, one will get rich with mathematical certainty. The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a Certain Way; those who do things in this Certain Way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich; while those who do not do things in this Certain Way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor.
